Hey Mod, Whitey here. So, I know you’ve gotten a lot of shit for blocking some posts on here lately and favoring the POC perspective. I just wanted to say that I think you’re doing a good job. Even though I personally disagree with a lot of the methods which the POC leaders seem to have adopted with regards to this site, I do understand that I am viewing this debate from a very skewed vantage point. I have an enormous political-economic structure backing me up; the same is not true for the POC leaders. If you gave us equal opportunity to speak out against these issues, then that wouldn’t really be equal. People tend to use this site as their emotional punching bag, so it would be easy for us, as white people, to just shit all over the POC leaders without fear of repercussion. It’s especially skewed, because we are generally anons, but most of us know who the POC leaders are. I still disagree with a lot of what has been said on here over the past week, and I don’t think I will be persuaded otherwise anytime soon. However, my perspective isn’t exactly pertinent here. So, good job. Someone needs to keep us in check, and you’re doing wonderfully.
